Croc Week benefit planned At the The Maryland Zoo
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore presents "Croc Week," July 16-21, as a benefit for the Association of Zoos & Aquarium's Crocodilian Advisory Group (CAG) to generate education awareness of crocodilians worldwide. The week will end with a celebration event Saturday, the 21st from 5 to 9 pm to support crocodilian educational and in-situ conservation efforts worldwide.
National Geographic's herpetologist Dr. Brady Barr, host of television's SuperCroc, Reptile Wild, and Dangerous Encounters, will present a live media presentation at the closing gala. Other events to take place at the gala include kids activities, a live alligator encounter, a croc training demonstration, cocktail party and a live and silent auctions.
The regular Croc Week festivities will include expert presentations, live Chinese alligator encounter, arts and craft, education station, training demonstrations and more, according to Mei Len Sanchez-Barr, organizer of the event.
Ticket prices for the gala event are $30 for adults and $20 for children (ages 4-11). Children under four are free. After June 14th, the prices will increase by $5.
