More room, mate!

Thirty years after it was set up, the crocodile farm in Phuentsholing, Bhutan may finally be able to breed the highly endangered Gharial crocodile. "The existing pond [was] not deep enough for mating, during which there is a lot of movement," said the manager.

The farm receives more than a hundred visitors everyday, mostly Indian tourists from across the border.

A crocodile farm had reported that 23 reptiles had escaped from captivity.

Escaped crocodile to be trapped soon

Malaysian zoo authorities have confirmed that the creature terrorising villagers in Kampung Tasik here since Sunday is a crocodile and not a monitor lizard. "We are now monitoring the crocodile's movements. We will set up traps as soon as the flood subsides. Officials said it would be easier to trap the crocodile, which was estimated to be about 1.8m/5.9ft long and weigh about 70kg/154lb, in still and shallow waters.

Alligators in fenced pond are dead meat

A Florida retention pond near William G. Roe Park may become the gravesite of four hungry alligators who have become trapped - the alligators have been there for some time now and there aren't many fish in the pond to keep them fed.

Attempts to find someone to move the gators have not been successful and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission response would be to put the gators down.
