MISSION STATEMENT

The Living Among Alligators program is dedicated to harmony -- to educating the general public throughout the USA and especially in states where alligators naturally live, with a balanced and scientifically accurate perspective of the American Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) and its relationship to humans, in an effort to help people maintain a healthy, environmentally-sound lifestyle balanced with the well-being of the alligator's own needs for a healthy existence, and for the needs of the environment in which they and people live.

Living Among Alligators promotes these aims by means of engaging, positive, interactive programming.

Living Among Alligators, a program of Crocodopolis:

Complies with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, regarding both wildlife keeping and business practices.

Gives priority to the safety and welfare of both the animals in our care and the public who observe them.

Conducts fair and honest business practices.

Strives to be the leader in the industry by providing exceptional client service and striving for excellence in zoological husbandry and exhibition practices.

Promotes conservation of all species, especially of the American Alligator, and of its natural habitat and the species of animals, plants and organisms that share it.
