Chris, being introduced to the world of herpetoculture at a young age, has developed a love and passion for exotic wildlife.  At the age of 16, he was captivated by the beauty of crocodilians and has since spent countless hours reading and studying the magnificent animals.  Through his research of reptiles, he has had many opportunities to work with a variety of exotic animals, including but not limited to exotic felines and canines, bears and more. Chris claims "a passion for anything predator"; however, his true passion lies with crocodilians.

At the age of 20, Chris began assisting with rescues and rehabilitation of unwanted pet crocodilians and helping to find them new homes with experienced and knowledgeable keepers.  Chris served in the position of Herpetoculture Element Representative of a national organization known as U.A.P.P.E.A.L. (Uniting a Proactive Primate and Exotic Animal League) from 2006-2008, helping to protect the rights of responsible citizens keeping exotic wildlife, while helping to educate potential owners of exotic wildlife as to the requirements of some of the animals they may wish to keep.  His aim is to improve the captive conditions and lives of privately kept exotic wildlife while helping to protect rights of conscientious private exotic animal owners.

Currently, at the age of 23, Chris publishes a reptile information website, Herpfanatic.com, which aims to educate the public and potential owners of pet reptiles, particularly the more difficult and dangerous to keep specimens such as crocodilians, venomous reptiles and large constricting snakes.  He also has recently started educational programs with reptiles open to the entire state of Ohio to help children have an opportunity to enter the same world of reptiles that Chris has come to love so much.  In addition to his own website, he has now partnered up with fellow crocodilian enthusiast and naturalist Israel Dupont to bring to you a captivating new edition of Crocodopolis: World of Crocodilians, and work to create the world’s largest crocodilian rescue network.

Some of Chris’ future goals are to secure a position as a professional crocodilian keeper at a zoological institution or work with crocodilians doing research in the wild, while still maintaining his current publishing, rescue and educational work.
